Mansveld is a leading party in electrical engineering with several private limited companies. Several systems and revenue models are running within the company. Data is plentiful, which needs to be harnessed for better business operations. Chief Information Officer Pascal Snelders struck a big blow with Blenddata.
The variety of systems at Mansveld made it difficult to get an overview of important processes such as invoicing, work inventory and procurement. The lack of integrated reports led to time-consuming manual work. Pascal: “I found a lot of interim staff in Finance. A lot of information was exported to Excel and ended up in lists that were insufficiently distributed in the organisation. There were a lot of opportunities for improvement within Mansveld. We were looking for a system that could track everything. A tool for consistent and systematic reporting and analysis.”
A blueprint with KPIs
Pascal: “We drew up a blueprint with 5 financial KPIs and 3 customer KPIs. We knew the data quality was not good enough, but we didn’t know what to focus on. For example, if you don’t know who is not booking their hours, you can’t make adjustments. Similarly for projects and service orders. As info responsible without tools, I was like a bicycle on the highway. Then I said: To obtain the right management information, we first need to gather all the data and assess its quality.”
